Oh Just Some Homecoming Goodliness

Wow! This week was Homecoming Week for USU and man... let's just say it was INSANE! My roommates and I printed out the list of activities and it was five whole pages long!
Monday- On Monday, I went shopping with Elli, Tara and Dylan to get white clothes for the paint dance that night! The paint dance was so bomb! There was paint being thrown everywhere, music bumping, people jumping up and down like crazy and everyone sweating like dogs! Bottom line.. It was a good time!

Tuesday- There were no plans for Tuesday night so I stayed home with my roomies most of the night. Emily brought Caitlin and Tony over and two kids from her school in Vegas, Eric and Jared. We played "He said, She said" and laughed for a good hour!
Wednesday- On Wednesday night, I went to the Mr. USU pageant with Tony, Caitlin and Emily!! It was Grease Themed and was so funny!! Mr. Diversity, Kaho Fiefia, won the title of Mr. USU! He did so good! We also got in for only a dollar because we brought canned food for the food bank!
Thursday- I made dinner for Tara on Thursday because Elli was working and Christina went home for the weekend. So we ate garlic chicken and pasta and then went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart! I came home and put the groceries away and then studied for my stupid biology test with Emily and Caitlin. We took practice tests together and online assignments. I thought I was SO ready for the test but apparently I wasn't.... :( I got a 76%... ouch!
Friday- Oh Friday.... this was a GREAT day! I was a part of breaking a WORLD RECORD here at USU! We broke the world record for the World's Longest Kissing Chain! We had over 1,600 students show up! It was soooo cold but soooo fun! And then there was True Aggie night... 'nuff said :)
Saturday- Today was our Homecoming game against Colorado State. Boy, was this game intense!! We lost by one point in double over time :( Oh well, I still love my Aggies!

And that was my first Homecoming week at Utah State! And now I must go because I have to write some Socratic Dialogue..... If anyone can tell me what that even means, it would be GREATLY appreciated.... stupid Philosophy!

Until next time.... "Live each moment as if it were your last, for the next could be"

How 'bout them Utes?! :)

Wow! A lot has happened since my last post, I have had two very eventful weekends. Let's go back to last Friday, September 9th! Of course something crazy happens after I posted about my week but regardless, I will post about it today because it was awesome! I went with a few of my roommates and a ton of people from my hall to a local theater to see Super 8. Let me tell you, Super 8 is Super GREAT!! We all loved it. There was action and emotion and jokes! It was a great movie all around! When the movie was over, I drove home with my roomie Emily and her two cousins Tony and Caitlin, my roomie Lauren and her cousin Katelin. We were talking about the movie and how good it was the whole ride home. We were about to turn into the parking lot of Snow when either we ran over a firework or someone shot  Roman Candle at us or something. We heard a huge bang then the whole windshield was filled with sparks and bright lights! We called campus police to report it and they showed up at my apartment to take down our information and our story! After he left, I stayed up until 4:30 playing cards in the hall with Dave, John Terry and the girls across the hall.

The next day was Saturday and I slept in until 1!! It was much needed after staying up so late the night before. I got up at 1, showered and got ready and ate some food. I went over to Tara's house to paint my face for the game... but that never happened. We ended up watching "Baggage" for like three hours. Elli, Tara and I were waiting for Christina to shower because she just got back from the temple so she had to get ready all over again. While we were waiting for Christina and watching Baggage, we heard a bunch of cheering and noise outside so we went to the windows and saw a huge stampede of Blue walking through the courtyard. The Stampede was a tradition started last year where students start at the LLC and walk from apartment to apartment all through campus picking people up for the game. Once they have everyone they make their way down to the stadium, picking up stragglers the whole way. It is really cool to see and entire sea of blue coming down the street to the stadium! We played Weber that night and won 54-17 :) There were a bunch of parties after the game and everyone celebrated the victory.

Not much happened this week, just school and homework but this weekend was eventful as well! I watched Disturbia with my roommates and Tony and Caitlin on Thursday! Friday finally came but seemed like it drug on forever! Eric came and picked me up after he got off work. We had fajitas for dinner and watched Soul Surfer for his birthday with TONS and TONS of popcorn! We went to bed at about 1 or 2 because we were kinda addicted to the show TANKED and couldn't turn it off. We had eggs and pancakes the next morning. We got ready for the day and packed into the car. We drove down to Eric's mom's house to visit with her. Eric, Camille and I left the boys at their grandma's while we went to RC Willey to shop for new furniture. We came back and had pizza for dinner then left to drive back home. We listened to the BYU vs. Utah game the whole way and rushed inside to get it on the TV! Thanks to all of BYU's turnovers, we were ahead pretty early in the game! Naturally, Utah came out on top with a HUGE win of 54-10!!! Better luck next year Cougs!

Until next time... There are no stupid questions, just stupid people :)

Life as an Aggie... So Far :)

Hello all,

I have been at USU now for almost a month and I'm not gonna lie... I love it! My classes are so easy that they are boring me to tears but all other aspects are great! I live in Snow Hall and needless to say.... it's the best dorm on the SLC! I have met SO many great people. Everyone is so friendly and full or energy! My RA's name is John Terry and he is one of the coolest people I have ever met! I also really lucked out with my roommates! They are all so great and are constantly making me laugh! Even though my classes are easy, I countdown the days to the weekend!! It's FINALLY Friday and I'm SO happy I could cry! But all in all, my life in Logan has been pretty great so far!

Here is what I have learned since moving to school:

- My family is amazing and saying goodbye to them is really hard to do
- My friends are amazing and saying goodbye to them was almost as hard as saying bye to the fam!
- College boys are SO much more attractive than high school boys
- Frat parties are INSANE
- Connections is the stupidest class anyone could ever take
- You have not seen dirty dancing until you've been to a college dance
- Christina Smith and Elli Alves are the two coolest chicks outside of Snow Hall
- Waiting for missionary letters sucks!
- People are really good and masking who they really are
- PACKERS BEAT THE SAINTS!
- Mr. Gritton really knows his ISH! I feel like a genius in class now thanks to him!
- Jacob Ezra is my favorite person and Cale Jacob doesn't like to Skype
- And last but not least.... Utah State has THEE best student section in the entire nation!! So proud to be an Aggie:)

Until next time...
